This free transfer service is available to guests who have booked a formal connecting journey*
Arriving into Australia on V Australia and connecting onto Virgin Blue.
Arriving off V Australia into Sydney with a domestic connection onto Virgin Blue:
Guests are required to collect their bags off the carousel and then clear Customs and Quarantine. Guests should then head to the Seamless Transfer Lounge, which is a left turn, immediately after clearing Quarantine and before entering the arrivals hall. If booked on a formal Codeshare Flight (one ticket for the entire journey) then guests can head to the check-in counters, where they can check in for their domestic flight. Guests will also receive a bus pass to get over to the domestic terminal. If not travelling on a single ticket journey, this transfer service option is available by paying $15 at the check-in counter.
Arriving off V Australia into Brisbane with a domestic connection onto Virgin Blue:
Guests are required to collect their bags off the carousel and then clear Customs and Quarantine. After entering the arrivals hall, guests should then turn right and walk to the far wall on the right hand side to the Domestic Transfer Desk. If travelling on a formal Codeshare flight (one ticket for the entire journey) then guests can check-in at the transfer desk for their domestic flight. Guests will also be issued a bus pass to get them over to the Domestic terminal. Upon arriving at the domestic terminal, guests will be able to head straight to their departure gate.
If the entire journey is not booked on one ticket, then as soon as Customs and Quarantine has been cleared, guests can enter the arrivals hall and walk directly out the front of the arrivals terminal and catch the T Bus over to the domestic terminal. Upon arriving at the domestic terminal, guests will need to check-in for their domestic flight
Arriving off V Australia into Melbourne with a domestic connection onto Virgin Blue:
Guests are required to collect their bags off the carousel and then clear Customs and Quarantine. After entering the arrivals hall, guests should then turn right and make their way upstairs to the first floor. Guests will then need to check-in for their domestic flight at the Virgin Blue check-in area. ** The International and Domestic terminals are connected.
Domestic check-in connecting through Sydney:
Guests check-in at the domestic port, where their bags will be checked through to their final V Australia destination. They will also receive a transfer wallet, which contains a map of the transfer port and a bus pass to use in Sydney. Upon arriving in Sydney, guests should head to the transfer lounge at Gate 37, where they can check-in for their international flight. Once they have received their boarding pass for their VA flight, they will be shown downstairs to the transfer bus, which will take them over to the international terminal. ** If issued VA boarding pass at the transfer lounge at Gate 37 then guests are not required to check-in again once they arrive at the international terminal.
Domestic check-in connecting through Brisbane:
Guests check-in at the domestic port, where their bags will be checked through to their final V Australia destination. They will also receive a transfer wallet, which contains a map of the transfer port and a bus pass to use in Brisbane. Upon arriving in Brisbane, guests should head to Gate 39, where they check-in for their international flight at the transfer desk. Once guests have received a boarding pass for their VA flight, they will be shown downstairs to the transfer bus, which they catch over to the international terminal. ** If issued a VA boarding pass at the transfer desk at Gate 39 then guests are not required to check-in again once they arrive at the international terminal.
Domestic check-in connecting through Melbourne:
Guests check-in at the domestic port, where their bags will be checked through to their final V Australia destination. They will also receive a transfer wallet, which contains a map of the transfer port. Upon arriving in Melbourne, guests should head to the V Australia check-in, which is located at the International check-in area. This is where guests will receive their boarding pass for their V Australia flight. ** The Domestic and International terminals are connected.
*This service is available for all guests who have booked a formal connecting journey. If you have purchased two separate tickets, you will be required to pick up your baggage at the transfer port.
